Worlds first all-electric commercial airline
- Harbour Air -
Why we love this one: The UN aviation body ICAO estimated that airplane travel contributes over 900 million metric tons of carbon emissions a year and growing, that's 2.5% of global carbon dioxide and domestic travel played a significant role. Gold star goes to Harbour Air in Vancouver, Canada, who are tackling this head on.
In early 2019, Harbour Air announced a partnership with Washington based magniX, the company powering the electric aviation revolution, with a commitment to build the world’s first all-electric commercial airline.

The company, who conduct over 30,000 flights a year, have set themselves a bold ambition with their ePlane project, planning to turn their 40+ fleet of seaplanes from carbon-neutral to carbon-zero.
It doesn't stop there, just recently announcing brand new eShuttle service.
